Competitive sports and occupational training at Lantal

Lantal supports two talented sports aspirants by offering them special apprenticeship models that allow them to pursue their sports careers and learn a profession at the same time. The parallel focus on occupation and sports calls for ample flexibility and tolerance on the part of the trainee and the employer. For the apprentices, the ability to individually adjust and reconcile working hours with training sessions and competitive events is important.

One of Lantal’s sports talents is footballer Yanick Hochuli who is a member of the BSC Young Boys U21 team and will complete his apprenticeship in business administration next summer. The second one is Lara Christen who plays ice hockey for the SC Langenthal and SC Lions clubs as well as the Swiss U18 national team. She is in her second year as a business administration trainee. Citing the Lara Christen case, Swiss Olympic awarded Lantal the attribute “Competitive sports-friendly apprenticeship provider”.
