Lantal acquires Airline Services Interiors in the UK

Lantal and Manchester-based Airline Services Interiors can look back on a long period of successful and dependable collaboration, since the company has been producing Lantal's pleated curtains for many years. On the one hand, to safeguard this business in the long term, and on the other to extend Lantal’s scope of deliverables, Airline Services Interiors was identified as an ideal partner.

Airline Services Interiors is a unit of the Airline Services Group and has a workforce of 116 persons. The unit acquired by Lantal develops and delivers cost-effective, high-quality and customized solutions for the refurbishment, modernization, and upgrade of cabin interiors. Additionally, the company designs, develops, and produces affordable spare parts such as armrests, tray tables, seat covers and pleated or sewn curtains.

The acquisition is a further key milestone in Lantal’s transition to a systems partner for all-encompassing passenger cabin problem solutions. Important steps in this direction were accomplished with the 2016 integration of ACC in Germany and the establishment of Lantal Parts s.r.o. in Czechia in 2017. At that time, the Lantal Group’s spectrum of deliverables was expanded with cut & sew services as well as the overhaul and modernization of seats and cabin components. Now, with the capabilities of Airline Services Interiors, the scope of deliverables includes total aircraft cabin maintenance spanning the entire value chain.
