Lantal Shortlisted for the Crystal Cabin Award 2020

How can the elements of aircraft cabins be further optimized for passengers, crew, and the environment? The mission of the prestigious Crystal Cabin Award is to find answers to this question. Contenders include airlines, suppliers, universities, and airframe makers; they all attempt to win over an international jury of experts with their innovations. Never before have as many concepts been submitted as this year – more than 100 ideas from over 20 countries were shortlisted this year, and Lantal’s was among them.

In this pivotal decision-making phase, Lantal was able to convince the jury with its innovative Seat Heating and Cooling System. While the airline industry has been discussing ways to offer passengers a personalized experience, Lantal can already present the world’s first aviation-compatible solution. The modular system gives every first-class and business-class traveler the ability to select a personalized microclimate. The system can be complemented with airflow dress covers specially developed by Lantal.

The finalists will be announced in mid-February. They will personally acquaint the jury with their concepts at AIX 2020 (March 31 to April 2, 2020) in Hamburg. The winners will then receive their trophies on March 31 on the occasion of a gala dinner at the Chamber of Commerce in Hamburg.
