New carpets for a new fleet

Helvetic Airways is investing in its future. Starting this autumn, the Swiss airline will take delivery of twelve brand-new Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. The new jets stand out with greater fuel efficiency and less noise alongside a more spacious and brighter cabin. Contrasting against the gray seats that are signature elements of the Helvetic interior, the carpets in the E2 aircraft are a vibrant red. Lantal manufactures the carpet in Melchnau. The special red hue and the irregular diamond pattern on the surface of the carpet attract attention in the cabin. Helvetic passengers are already familiar with the striking carpets that were used in Fokker aircraft in the past. But in the new E2 models, the red color is darker. The darker shade adds an elegant touch to the carpet and increases its service life by retaining its attractive looks longer.

The new Embraer fleet is scheduled to enter service on selected SWISS routes starting on November 1, 2019, and also en route to Helvetic destinations as from 2020. Lantal is proud to have contributed to the new Helvetic Airways interior.
