Calculation methodology

The model follows one transparent six-step sequence. Numeric operating assumptions are shown separately above.

01 - Weight reduction per area unit 500 g/m² Current installed carpet weight minus the selected DEEP DYED Carpet construction.
02 - Installed weight by aircraft family SH 119 m² / LH 245 m² The weight reduction per area unit is multiplied by the carpet area of each aircraft family.
03 - Annual fuel reduction 0.44 barrels/kg The calibrated aircraft-family fuel sensitivity is applied consistently to the installed weight removed for the selected fleet.
04 - Oil-price conversion $82.5 per barrel Annual barrels saved are multiplied by the midpoint of the selected oil-price range.
05 - CO2 conversion 0.43 tonnes per barrel The calculated annual fuel saving is converted into an indicative CO2 reduction.
06 - Fleet aggregation 89 SH / 11 LH Short-haul and long-haul results are multiplied by the entered fleet quantities and aggregated.
